Centralight is Central Michigan University's quarterly alumni magazine. I work with the alumni and communications teams to develop editorial content that relates to the shared and diverse experiences and interests of CMU alumni.
I assign stories to freelance writers and manage the writing and editing of all magazine content. I also write occasional features and profiles.

Capital Region Community Foundation

For seven years, I planned, reported, wrote, designed and produced the Community Foundation's award-winning annual report.
The report was a stylish magazine featuring stories and photos of the grants awarded and the donors who made the grants possible. I also managed, edited and produced an annual publication written by the philanthropic youth group of the foundation.

I've worked with authors on projects that were very personal for each of them. From character development and story structure to content and copy editing, I've been proud to help their projects go from concept to completion.
